Default Monk Tattoo "Energy" Armor is from where?

Hi all, I've been reading how Tattoo armor is the go. Tattoo armor that gives you +5 energy per piece if I understand correctly.

I'm in Asc Post seering at the moment working on the -50 HP off hand quests. I have my original armor.

As I've seen there are a few crafters in Asc but where do I buy this "Energy" version of tattoo armor?

Which town and who sells it.

Thanks.

PS - Just as an aside I have a level 20 factions Wa/Mo and created a Prophecies Mo/Me to try this 55HP build / excursion / journey. Shame my factions char can't learn Shield if Judgement. It's so slow to level in Prophecies.

You get in LA(Lions Arch)it doesn't come with more energy as it use to.You will have to put radiant insignias on it to get the energy you want out of it although any set of armour can now do this with radiant insignias even the ones in Old Ascalon if it is what I think it for 55ing then you can use what you already have.

Hey mate, yes I'm seriously outdated as well.

So what you are saying is the information available is old and outdated. So is there any reason to even level my Prophecies char or just stick with my Factions char?

Plan A: If you are doing this soley for SoJ, why not get 3000 balz faction grab the skill, buy an elite monk tome and have done with it. Shouldn't take you more than an hr and a few thousand plat.

Plan B: Complete the "To Tyria Quest", and go from there with your monk. Certainly shorter than starting at presear.

The only reason why this would be true is having factions and prophecy on two different accounts. Otherwise, your characters are free to travel from kaineng center to lion's arch.

And energy armor is only good for farming, true monks use energy management; or use skill wisely in order to save energy. +8 energy total isn't going to make a difference.

Ender and Utaku, thanks for your feedback.

My understanding is my Factions Monk can't learn SoJ because it's a Factions character. I've done the quest to Lion's Arch but am stuck as what to do now. It seems a lot of wiki / forum information is actually old misinformation.

My Prophecies Monk is just level 8 and currently doing the "Cities" quest for the -50 offhand.

My Factions Monk is level 14.

Getting SoJ is just a challenge I've set myself.

Ender can you please fully explain the way I'd need to go with this Plan A. Sorry if I'm asking basic questions. I hope you don't mind.

Hi Utaku, both Proph and Factions are on the same account. but my understanding is a Factions character can't SoJ, only a Proph char can. I still need a 100% correct answer on this.

This is for plan A have you done any PvPing at all eg. Random Arenas and gained some Balthazar Faction if not plan A is not doable.

This for your Factions Monk and that is to get a run to Beacons Perch and to get a run to Droknar's Forge. You will then want to get a run to Granite Citdal and grap the henchies to go and cap SoJ or you can lvl up your Prophecies Monk and get a run to Beacons and so forth.

If your Factions and Prophesies campaigns are on the same account, then any character in your account can travel between them, and use any skill/armor/weapon/whatever that is found in either place. My monk uses skills from Proph, Factions, Nightfall and EoTN on the same skill bar. So I think your best plan of action would be to travel to Proph with your factions monk, and start fighting your way to Mineral Springs (Boss with SoJ). Although at level 14 you'd have a tough time, so you might consider getting level 20 first.

Wow! thanks guys.

In that case I'll take my Factions Monk to capture SoJ after I level a bit more in Factions. Prophecies is so much slower to level or is it just me?

Hey is it a good idea to get Balthazar's Spirit and SoJ on my Wa/Mo level 20?

Prophecies is slower as you don't get the huge amounts of XP rewards as in Faction but it is a better slower learning curve for first time Monks. What I mean by this is it make you a better Monk as you are learning it slower.

Those skills for your Warrior don't bother do damage instead using Warrior skills look in the Warrior forum for that information.

Hi all,

I've taken my Factions Monk to Ascalon City from Lion's Arch, grabbed a Firey Spitter and smacked a +20 Enchanting handle on it.

Problem I'm getting is Symon the "whatnot" isn't giving me the Quest for "Great Northern Wall" Mission. I need that to get the Cities of Ascalon quest for the -50 offhand. Any thoughts?

I'm also needing to find Symbol of Wrath which will get me a little AoE killing done. Now I know my Prophecies Monk has it, but where can my Factions Monk get it?

With the above I think I'm set, pretty much to progress.

Thanks for all your help.

You don't get The Cites of Ascalon Quest as that is only for Tyrian charactors not non.You get Quests after Lion Arch on not before. You have to get it from your Tyrain Monk or buy one and symbol of wrath you can buy that from skill trainer but you don't need it for 55ing.

Hi, I thought I'd keep it all in the same thread.

This is what I'm following:

http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Mo/any_55hp_Solo_Monk

Current status:

- Factions Monk - Level 14.

- Tattoo armour from Lion's Arch + the +1 Smiting head tattoo.

- 4 Superior Runes, one of each type applied.

- All spells including Shield of Judgement have been captured or learned.

- Main Hand - Fiery Flame Spitter with +20 Enchanting handle

- Off Hand - Divine Symbol for Poor Tenants quest pre-seering -30HP. I'll soon have the -50 HP Grim Cresta from another character.

- Current HP is 60

Now I realise being level 14 will not make this a greatly viable build and that as I gain levels it should improve.

Can anyone suggest areas suitable to gain XP all the way to level 20?

Thanks for your assistance and guildence.

I would stick to armour question as now you are getting into the farming section of what the farming forum is for.I wouldn't bother 55ing untill you beat the game and get all your elites as well as your 200 attribute points.read cerb's guide on 55ing.Don't do this untill after you ascend.

Yep I can to that conclusion last night. You need to be 20 for the damage output at least.

Age, thanks for all your assistance.

sure some 1 said it by now but didnt feel like reading all the post

tattoo armor no longer gives more energy. ur looking for radiant insignias, all armor is insignia based now, meaning that the armor comes with no mods other than +60-80 armor and +0-2 energy regen. the + energy comes from radiant insignias that u add to ur armor.
